Alaska Health Fair is a nonprofit, delivering health fairs statewide for the past 37 years. In addition to health education, AHF is famous for its affordable quality blood tests. We work with PAML, one of the top ranking laboratories in the Nation. Blood tests are available at all health fairs.
In addition to our regular offerings, we are bringing the following new tests to all events statewide this season:
- Ferritin – is an iron-containing protein and is the primary form of iron stored inside of cells. The test is sometimes ordered to detect the presence and severity of iron deficiency or iron overload. Individuals who suspect they may have too little or too much iron in their system may consider this test. Available for $35.
- Alaska Allergy Profile – the profile tests for allergic sensitivity to a total of 15 allergens commonly found in Alaska including several species of house dust mite, dog & cat dander, grass and fungus, plant pathogens, trees, and flowering plants. For more information follow this link, scroll down to RDPAK Region 18 Alaska. Available for $195.
- Testosterone, Total (adult male) – this test monitors actively circulating testosterone levels in the blood to detect abnormal levels in males. Available for $55.
- Expanded Vitamin D (25-hydroxy) – this new 25-hydroxy vitamin D test is one of the most accurate ways to measure how much vitamin D is in the body. The active form of vitamin D helps control calcium and phosphate levels. The expanded test will provide results for: Vitamin D2, Vitamin D3, and Vitamin D total, with the range of 4.0 – 1200 ng/mL! The price remains unchanged, at $50.
