Alaska Health Fair, Inc. is proud to become a Bronze Medal Sponsor of the 2022 Alaska International Senior Games. 

The games are a perfect fit between our non-profit agencies. Alaska Health Fair’s Mission is “to promote statewide health education and preventative screenings.”  Our Vision is – “Optimal health for all Alaskans;” and, our Core Purpose is – “To promote wellness and save lives.”  The Alaska International Senior Games (AISG) Mission is –  “To offer adults, age 50 and better, the opportunity to compete with peers in a variety of activities to enhance their fitness, health, and quality of life.”  By trying to achieve optimal health, Senior Games competitors are good examples for all of us. The AISG is an excellent match with what our agency goals are, to achieve the best in health and fitness for not only Alaska seniors, but residents of all ages.

Senior Games competitors come from all over the state of Alaska, the Lower 48, and Internationally.  Per their listing on Google referencing the world competition:  The games are the largest and most well organized annual senior games event in the world.  More than 11,000 senior athletes (age 50+) from all 50 states in the U.S. and more than 30 countries come to compete in 30 different sporting and athletic events. 

The 2022 games are the 19th year that the event has been held in the qualifying City of Fairbanks during a 20 year period (2020 was missed due to COVID-19).  The National Senior Games have been held over the past 52 years and are held every other year in various cities across the nation.

The next national competition will be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from July 7-18, 2023.  The International games are being celebrated for the 35th year with the 2023 location to be announced.  For more information about this year’s Alaska International Senior Games taking place between August 6-14, 2022 check out their website, find them on Facebook or use the additional contact information, all shown below.
