Your safety is important to us. Alaska Health Fair takes pride in the fact that our volunteers and staff delivered over 100 events during the pandemic, safely serving thousands of Alaskans. We hope to continue to rely on your cooperation in keeping our clients, staff, and other volunteers safe. Please take a moment to review these important considerations before volunteering at AHF events.

Travel

If you recently traveled outside of Alaska, please note that Alaska Health Fairs requires that volunteers and staff follow the State and Municipal guidelines pertaining to interstate travel. As of writing of this post, the most recent guidelines were issued by the State on February 14th and can be viewed here: https://covid19.alaska.gov/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/02.14.21-Health-Advisory-2-International-and-Interstate-Travel.pdf

For Fully Vaccinated Individuals

We ask that fully vaccinated individuals refer to the most recent guidance from federal, state and local agencies on how to protect yourself and others. Please follow this link to one such resource from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated.html

To recap, according to CDC, “until we know more about [the effectiveness of vaccines and other factors], everyone — even people who’ve had their vaccines — should continue taking basic prevention steps when recommended.”

Please call us with any questions – (907) 278-0234 for Anchorage/Statewide, (907) 374-6853 in Fairbanks, or (907) 723-5100 in Juneau. We appreciate you, our volunteers. AHF events would not be possible without you – thank you!

Sincerely,
AHF Team
